The cast and crew consists of 62 students! Below is a sneak peek of who will be playing some of the main characters: Auditions were held on January 13 and consisted of singing and dancing from the show along with reading for individual parts. On January 11, a singing and dancing audition workshop was held for those interested in auditioning. Selecting the cast for the spring musical was not an easy feat because there is so much talent here at CMCP. Time is also of the essence as Mamma Mia! is going back on a professional Equity tour next year and the rights will quickly be taken away from high schools. Gleichauf, Fine and Performing Arts Department Chair, shared that he selected Mamma Mia! because “it is currently the #1 most produced high school show in the country and the show itself is bright, happy and funny with recognizable songs that people have been listening to for decades.
